First Fertilizer Unloading Operation with On-the-Spot Bagging at the Port of Kribi
A showcase of logistics expertise on the Mboro quay
The Port Authority of Kribi has marked a significant milestone in its logistics development. The MV Mulrom recently docked at the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT) to unload 12,936 metric tons of fertilizer, using an on-the-spot bagging method directly beneath the ship’s cranes.
This first-ever operation of its kind since the start of commercial activity at Mboro highlights the logistical capabilities and technical know-how of the port’s operators.
Efficiency meets innovation
The under-crane bagging technique ensures faster turnaround times, optimized supply chain performance, and product quality preservation. This achievement confirms the Port of Kribi’s strategic role in supporting agro-industrial development through tailored and advanced logistics solutions.
Kribi continues to assert itself as a modern, adaptive logistics platform ready to meet the growing needs of Cameroon’s industrial transformation.
