Command Handover at the Port of Kribi: A New Leader for Maritime Security

Senior Commissioner EKINDI Manfred François officially assumes his duties at the Port of Kribi Police Department.

The handover ceremony for the new Port Commissioner of Kribi, Senior Commissioner EKINDI Manfred François, took place on Friday, July 16, 2021, within the Mboro port premises, in the presence of administrative authorities, family members, and guests.

Officially installed in his new role, the Commissioner emphasized his full awareness of the critical challenges related to port safety and security, which now fall under his leadership.

It is important to recall that the responsibility for these sensitive missions is shared between the Local Port Authority and the Law Enforcement Agencies (FMO). Their collaborative framework is governed by Decree No. 85-128, which sets the rules of policing and operations within port domains.

This new appointment marks a key milestone in strengthening the security infrastructure of the Port Authority of Kribi, a strategic maritime gateway for Cameroon.
