Final Whistle for the 2nd Edition of the Kribi Port Community Tournament
A celebration of sport, unity, and civic commitment
On November 20, 2024, the Afan Mabe Stadium in Kribi hosted the grand finale of the 2nd edition of the Port Authority of Kribi’s (PAK) Community Tournament — now a key event in the local community calendar.
Seated in the VIP stand were the Prefect of the Ocean Division and his delegation, the Director General of PAK, alongside several administrative officials and traditional leaders. Their presence added to the symbolic importance of the event, which stood as a powerful expression of togetherness, respect, and social harmony.
A final match worthy of the Champions League
In a thrilling and action-packed game, BATANGA LOHOVE faced off against FANG NGUMBA, ending in a 3–3 draw that led to a dramatic penalty shootout. BATANGA LOHOVE emerged victorious, clinching the title of tournament champion.
But beyond the scoreline, it was the spirit of friendship, sportsmanship, and unity that truly won the day.
Sport as a vehicle for community bonds
With this initiative, PAK confirms its role as more than a logistics hub — it is a partner in local development, creating spaces for talent expression and fostering dialogue among neighboring communities.
The tournament also served as a celebration of cultural diversity, and of the shared values of inclusion, solidarity, and mutual respect.
A port rooted in its people
The Port Authority of Kribi is deeply committed to building a harmonious relationship with its surrounding environment. A world-class port can only thrive when it is deeply anchored in its territory and in tune with the communities it serves.
Just the beginning…
This tournament is not an end in itself, but rather the beginning of a lasting dialogue. It reflects PAK’s long-term commitment to stay close to the people, to listen, to share, and to build together a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous future.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, supporters, and partners who contributed to the success of this beautiful edition.
Together, hand in hand, for inclusive and people-centered development.
