On 18 November, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) celebrated the 35th edition of African Statistics Day, a key continental event highlighting the strategic importance of data in Africa’s sustainable transformation.
This year’s theme —
“Harnessing innovations in data and statistics to promote a just, peaceful, inclusive and prosperous society for Africans” —
underscores the essential role of modern data systems in shaping Africa’s development.
Recognized as the leading port in statistical data collection, PAK integrates data at the heart of its daily operations. For the Port, statistics are more than a monitoring tool: they drive decisions, improve operational quality, and enhance its contribution to a modern, secure and efficient port ecosystem.
Through continuous innovation in data management, PAK achieves:
-
more accurate operational steering;
-
smoother logistics and port flows;
-
higher-performance services for users and partners.
By marking this day, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its commitment to building a more competitive port and contributing to an Africa that is inclusive, innovative and prosperous — a vision driven by the power of data.
Statistics remain, more than ever, central to our strategy and our ambition.
