AFPAK: A New President to Drive Impact and Inspiration
Committed Female Leadership in Service of the Port Community
Elected on Friday, June 16, 2023, Rachel ANOUK BENGON MBIAM has taken over the leadership of the Association of Women of the Kribi Port Authority (AFPAK), with the ambition to unite energies, inspire women within the port community, and strengthen their impact on port development.
On Friday, June 16, 2023, the Association of Women of the Kribi Port Authority (AFPAK) elected Rachel ANOUK BENGON MBIAM as its new President, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the association’s commitment to female leadership, solidarity, and collective impact.
At the helm of AFPAK, the new President relies on a strong community of 203 women, whom she intends to mobilize around a clear vision: to inspire, unite, and take action. Her ambition is to position AFPAK as a platform for expression, skills development, and active contribution to the growth of the Kribi Port Authority.
The election also carried a strong symbolic dimension. The message conveyed through a T-shirt with a distinctive design—particularly the letter “M” evoking ocean waves—reflected the association’s maritime identity and the belief that every meaningful encounter begins with a meeting of minds. A symbol of convergence, dialogue, and shared vision.
For Rachel ANOUK BENGON MBIAM, this moment marks the start of a mandate focused on impact, leadership by example, and collective commitment. The discussions surrounding her election helped lay the foundations for governance driven by action, inspiration, and the sustainable involvement of women in port performance challenges.
Through this new leadership, AFPAK reaffirms its core mission: to promote equity, solidarity, and the full integration of women in the port sector in the face of globalization, convinced that the collective strength of women is a powerful driver of transformation.
