PAK / COC-TCHAD Memorandum of Understanding Signed
Strengthening Trade Facilitation between Kribi Port and Chad
On December 20, 2022, in Kribi, Patrice MELOM, Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), and Djougoune Abdoulaye Mourra, Director General of the Chadian Shippers’ Council (COC-TCHAD), signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening commercial and logistical cooperation.
📍 A Strategic Visit
The three-member COC-TCHAD delegation, present in Kribi since the previous weekend, took part in:

a technical working session with PAK officials,

and a field visit to assess port extension works and cargo operations.
📝 Key Provisions of the Agreement
The MoU focuses on:

Facilitating, simplifying, and digitizing cargo handling procedures;

Promoting Kribi Port to Chadian economic operators;

Enhancing and managing port spaces dedicated to Chadian operators.
📦 Land Allocation for Chad at Kribi Port
As part of the agreement, PAK has allocated a 5-hectare parcel to COC-TCHAD, in addition to the 15-hectare land reserve previously granted to Chad for the construction of a logistics base.
