African Economic Intelligence Days: Kribi Port Authority Shares its Technological Vision
PAK at the 7th Edition of JAIE in Yaoundé
From May 28 to 31, 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated in the 7th edition of the African Economic Intelligence Days (JAIE) held in Yaoundé and organized by the African Center for Monitoring and Economic Intelligence (CAVIE).
Held under the theme: “The Contribution of Artificial Intelligence to the Performance of African Public and Private Actors”, this high-level forum was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cameroon.
A Committed Voice for Technological Performance
True to its commitment to innovation, PAK took part in discussions focused on the challenges and prospects of integrating artificial intelligence into port operations.
In his address, Habib IYA, Head of PAK’s Douala Representation, emphasized the importance for African institutions to adopt suitable digital tools to optimize decision-making and modernize administrative and logistical services.
Through this contribution, the Port of Kribi reaffirmed its position as a forward-looking port authority, engaged in digital transformation and in strategic dialogue around technological development on the continent.
AI as a Strategic Development Tool
The key takeaway from the JAIE forum was that artificial intelligence should not be seen merely as a competitive advantage, but rather as a strategic instrument to address Africa’s complex development challenges.
This vision aligns with PAK’s ambition to anticipate, adapt, and innovate in service of sustainable growth and operational excellence.
