A Day of Sport, Solidarity, and National Pride at the Port Authority of Kribi
On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Afan Mabe Municipal Stadium in Kribi hosted an exceptional event: a friendly match between the Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) football team. This event served as a prelude to the Célestin Lucien PIADO Cup, under the patronage of André ONANA, goalkeeper of the national team.
A Portside Warm Welcome
Before taking to the pitch, the former national team players were welcomed to the Port of Kribi in Mboro, where they toured the port facilities and industrial zone, gaining firsthand insight into the activities and infrastructure that make Kribi a major player in Cameroon’s logistics and industrial ecosystem.
An Emotional and Energetic Match
Surrounded by a lively crowd of fans, the match delivered a great display of talent and passion. Though rich in opportunities, the PAK team, honored by the presence of its Director General, ultimately fell 2–0 to the more seasoned former internationals.
The game was filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and respectful competitiveness, reminding all present of the powerful unifying role of sport.
