A Strategic Presence in Support of Continental Economic Integration

The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) took part in the 7th edition of the Africa Development International Forum (FIAD), held on June 27–28, 2024, in Casablanca, Morocco, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The forum was organized by the Attijariwafa Bank Group.

Bringing together over 2,000 political leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions from across Africa and beyond, this high-level gathering focused on the theme:

“New Models for Inclusive Growth in Africa: Drivers of Investment and Development.”

ZLECAF: A Central Topic of Discussion

In the context of the ongoing implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF), the forum served as a platform to promote:

  • Intra-African investment,

  • Development of strategic infrastructure,

  • And the acceleration of Africa’s industrialization agenda.

Highlighting the Kribi Integrated Industrial Zone (ZIIPK)

PAK’s participation aimed to present investment opportunities available through the Kribi deep-sea port platform, with a particular focus on its flagship project — the Kribi Integrated Industrial Zone (ZIIPK).

This strategic zone is being developed as a multi-sectoral industrial and logistics area, directly connected to a modern deep-water port. It is designed to host manufacturing units, logistics centers, and value-added service providers.

The objective is to attract industrial, commercial, and logistics investors seeking a competitive, well-connected site with investment incentives, strong governance, and strategic access to Central African markets.

High-Potential B2B Meetings

On the sidelines of the forum, the PAK delegation engaged in several B2B meetings with:

  • Moroccan and Pan-African investors,

  • Technical partners,

  • Development fund representatives and financial institutions.

These exchanges provided an opportunity to showcase the port’s performance, expansion strategy, and industrial growth vision, aligned with Cameroon’s ambition for industrialization and regional integration.

Through its active participation in FIAD 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirmed its role as a key driver of Cameroon’s economic development and a catalyst for African integration.
