The Women’s Association of the Port Authority of Kribi (AFPAK) recently held elections to renew its executive board, marking a key milestone for collective action and the strengthening of female leadership within the Kribi port community.
Established to reinforce the role and visibility of women in a traditionally male-dominated sector, AFPAK is guided by a strong mission: to uphold and advance the values of equity, solidarity, and empowerment, while promoting the optimal integration of women in the development of the Port of Kribi.
Through a wide range of initiatives, AFPAK supports the professional and personal development of its members, including capacity-building programmes, advocacy initiatives, outreach activities, and knowledge-sharing platforms designed to encourage engagement and contribution to the sector’s growth.
This renewal of leadership comes at a time when globalization is reshaping requirements and raising expectations across the maritime and logistics industries. AFPAK members have reaffirmed their determination to meet these challenges by placing women at the centre of innovation, performance, and sustainable development.
