PAK and KPIZ Strengthen Dialogue with Leaseholders
An information meeting dedicated to investors aimed at strengthening transparency, legal security and support within the industrial zone.
The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and Kribi Port Industrial Zone (KPIZ) brought together their leaseholders to discuss the management of the industrial zone, the formalisation of existing rights and the legal security of investments.
The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and Kribi Port Industrial Zone (KPIZ) held a strategic information meeting for all their leaseholders, as part of their efforts to strengthen dialogue with economic operators established within the industrial zone.
Chaired by the Directors General of PAK and KPIZ, respectively Patrice Melom and Yves Melingui, the meeting aimed to strengthen trust, provide greater visibility for investors and promote regular dialogue on issues related to the development of the Kribi industrial-port platform.
In their opening remarks, the two executives reaffirmed their shared ambition to make Kribi a leading industrial and logistics hub in Central Africa, supported by transparent governance, a secure legal framework and close support for economic operators.
The proceedings featured a presentation by NYEMB Law Firm, which provided an overview of the KPIZ and outlined the main legal principles governing the management of its portfolio.
Discussions also focused on the classification of existing rights, the takeover plan and the procedures for formalising the transfer of existing rights. These steps are intended to provide investors with greater clarity regarding their respective situations and to ensure a secure legal framework for the continuation of their activities.
An interactive question-and-answer session then gave leaseholders the opportunity to raise their concerns, seek clarification and engage directly with the relevant stakeholders.
Through this initiative, PAK and KPIZ reaffirm their commitment to maintaining close relations with economic operators within the industrial zone. This approach reflects their determination to combine administrative rigour, transparency, legal security and investor support in order to create favourable conditions for the sustainable development of the Kribi industrial-port ecosystem.
