PAK Participates in the 2026 Cameroon Internet Governance Forum (IGF)

At the invitation of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated in the 2026 Cameroon Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2026), held from 18 to 20 August 2026 at the Yaoundé Conference Centre.

Held under the theme “Data Interoperability as the Foundation of Digital Public Infrastructure,” the high-level forum brought together key stakeholders from Cameroon’s digital ecosystem to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation and data governance.

Discussions focused in particular on data security and protection, information system interoperability, the development of integrated digital public services, and artificial intelligence governance, with emphasis on ethics, digital sovereignty and accountability.

The forum also placed strong emphasis on digital inclusion, with discussions addressing the participation of women and young people in the digital ecosystem, as well as the promotion of innovation and technology solutions tailored to national priorities and challenges.

At a time when digital transformation is becoming an increasingly important driver of organisational modernisation and performance, these discussions are particularly relevant to strategic institutions such as the Port Authority of Kribi.

Through its participation in IGF 2026, the PAK reaffirms its interest in Cameroon’s national digital transformation agenda and its commitment to supporting technological developments that can contribute to the modernisation of its services, improved user experience and enhanced performance across the port ecosystem.

This participation is therefore part of the PAK’s broader ambition to develop a connected, innovative and high-performing port, in line with its ongoing digitalisation and process modernisation initiatives.
