The Port Authority of Kribi Celebrates Cultural Heritage in Mengong

As an official partner of the 5th Bia So Mengong Festival, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its commitment to promoting Cameroon's cultural heritage and strengthening social cohesion.

On 11 July 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) took part in the opening ceremony of the 5th Bia So Mengong Festival, held under the theme “Back to Our Roots.” Through its participation, PAK reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Cameroon’s cultural heritage and promoting the values that foster unity and social cohesion.

On 11 July 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated in the opening ceremony of the 5th Bia So Mengong Festival, held under the theme “Back to Our Roots.”

As an official partner of this major cultural event, PAK reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Cameroon’s cultural heritage, preserving local traditions, and strengthening social cohesion through the transmission of shared values.

The festival’s patron, Minette Libom Li Likeng, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, called for stronger dialogue between generations to ensure the transmission of the values of respect, discipline, solidarity, dignity, and pride that underpin the nation’s cultural identity.

On behalf of the Port Authority of Kribi, Christian Mangwa, Head of PAK’s Yaoundé Representation Office, emphasized that the Port’s participation reflects its determination to support initiatives that preserve cultural heritage, promote community pride, and contribute to national development.

Throughout the opening day, PAK’s exhibition stand welcomed visitors, providing an opportunity to showcase the Port’s missions, modern infrastructure, and long-term vision as a key driver of Cameroon’s economic development.

Featuring cultural parades, traditional performances, and concerts by renowned Cameroonian artists K-Tino and Cysoul, the festival’s opening day paid vibrant tribute to the richness and diversity of Cameroon’s cultural heritage.

Through its participation in the Bia So Mengong Festival, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its belief that sustainable development goes hand in hand with the promotion of culture, national identity, and social cohesion.
