On January 13, 2026, employees of the Port Authority of Kribi elected their new staff delegates. Supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the vote took place calmly and transparently, with strong participation across the Kribi, Mboro, and Yaoundé polling stations.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, employees of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) went to the polls to elect their staff delegates, who will serve as the essential link between management and employees over the next two years.
This democratic exercise, organized in accordance with Order No. 001778/MINTSS of October 1, 2025 and Decision No. 000239/MINTSS/SG/DRP/CJ of October 2, 2025, marks the renewal of staff representative bodies for the 2026–2028 term.
Seven lists were in competition, each led by candidates committed to serving their colleagues and defending their interests. The electoral process, supervised by representatives from the Labour Inspection Department dispatched by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MINTSS), was conducted by the Election Organizing Committee, established by Decision No. 2612/PAK/DG/2025 of November 12, 2025.
Voting operations took place calmly and transparently across three polling stations: Kribi, Mboro, and Yaoundé. Polling stations opened at 8:00 a.m. in a disciplined and friendly atmosphere. Each site was equipped with voting booths and ballot boxes to guarantee voting confidentiality, under the close supervision of Labour Inspection officials.
Mrs. Sophie NGOUE, Technical Adviser No. 8 and chairperson of one of the polling stations, praised the strong turnout:
“The voting process is proceeding without incident. We are recording a high level of participation.”
At 4:00 p.m., vote counting began under the supervision of the representative of the Divisional Delegate of Labour and Social Security for the Ocean Division. The official publication of results by the General Management confirmed the choices made by voters.
The results are as follows:
-

-
Green list: five full delegates and five alternates
-
Purple list: two full delegates and two alternates
-
Blue, yellow, orange, and red lists: each obtained one full delegate and one alternate
At the end of the process, the General Management of PAK congratulated the elected representatives and encouraged them to demonstrate availability, attentiveness, and dedication in the performance of their duties, which officially take effect on February 1, 2026.
