Implementation of a QHSE Regulatory and Standards Monitoring System at the Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK)

In partnership with the Cameroon Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR)

As part of its continuous improvement strategy and commitment to compliance with national and international requirements, the Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK) is implementing a structured Regulatory and Standards Monitoring System for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) in collaboration with the Cameroon Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR).

From November 10 to 19, 2025, ANOR experts will carry out a diagnostic study to assess the norms and regulatory frameworks governing PAK’s activities. Interviews will be conducted with heads of departments according to a scheduled plan, followed by a feedback session in December to present the findings and recommendations.

This initiative aims to evaluate PAK’s compliance with applicable legal and normative requirements while establishing a sustainable monitoring and coordination framework. The goal is to ensure proactive anticipation of regulatory changes, enhanced oversight of QHSE obligations, and progressive alignment with international best practices, in line with PAK’s operational excellence objectives.

The project includes:

  • Analyzing PAK’s processes and operations;

  • Identifying applicable national and international standards and regulations;

  • Designing a regulatory and standards monitoring system;

  • Proposing follow-up and awareness actions to ensure integration of QHSE requirements.

This strategic initiative will enable PAK to embed quality and compliance principles into its daily operations, anticipate evolving regulatory trends, and strengthen its position as a responsible and high-performing port authority within the regional and international maritime ecosystem.
