ISO 9001 Certification: Kribi Port Strengthens Its Quality Management Capabilities

A mission combining training and benchmarking for operational excellence

As part of its ISO 9001:2015 certification process, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) took part in a training and benchmarking mission in Morocco from December 14 to 22, 2024 — a key milestone in strengthening its commitment to quality and performance.

From December 16 to 20, 2024, a delegation from the Port Authority of Kribi participated in an intensive training session on Quality Management based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard at the Centre de Formation Performances Qualité in Casablanca, Morocco.
This initiative forms part of PAK’s strategic roadmap toward ISO 9001 certification, aiming to enhance staff capabilities in planning, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS).

In addition, a benchmarking visit was conducted at Tanger Med Port, one of the world’s most efficient and innovative port complexes. The PAK team had the opportunity to observe quality and operational control practices, safety and security procedures, and integrated management systems.
Discussions with Tanger Med experts focused on key topics such as process mapping, risk management, operational indicators, and audit best practices.

This mission marks an important step in PAK’s continuous improvement journey — reaffirming its ambition to become a regional benchmark for quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
