First Vessel Docked at the Phase 2 Quay Under Construction
The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) is proud to announce the berthing of the very first vessel at the Phase 2 quay, currently under construction. This symbolic and technical achievement marks a key step in the progressive expansion of Kribi’s deep-sea port.
A Successful Test Berthing
This inaugural call made it possible to:
-
test the strength of the future 715-meter quay line dedicated to container operations,
-
prepare for the arrival of the first batch of strategic equipment, including:
-
5 Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes,
-
2 Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes.
-
Gradual Ramp-Up
The bulk of the RTG delivery is expected in October 2024, paving the way for the full commissioning of facilities.
The complete construction works are scheduled for completion in December 2024.
A Vision for the Future
With this successful berthing operation, PAK reaffirms its ambition to become one of the most efficient logistics hubs in the sub-region, providing shipowners and shippers with modern, competitive infrastructure that meets international standards.
